A tribute to Ladye
Ladye Pettis Sparks, proofreader for USFI since September 2005, passed away on October 2, 2007 in Carrollton, Texas. Ladye enjoyed both the work and the love of her co-workers here. And we loved her astonishing ability to tame the unruliest copy, her uncanny way with commas and hyphens, and her ruthlessly funny repartee. A thorough professional who took grammatical errors personally, Ladye was a team player. We miss her like crazy.
