MetroPCS, the nation's fastest-growing prepaid mobile telecommunications provider, presented USFI with an inspiring challenge – to refresh their website, with its deep e-commerce, geo-location and multiple landing pages, within one week with no disruption of service. The client had a general look for the main pages, several new pages, and a number of new navigation criteria to follow.
USFI Technology pros pulled together, rolled up their sleeves and pulled multiple consecutive all-nighters over the next week. Many of our core competencies – information architecture, creative, .Net, SQL server and project management – were put to full use. New pages were designed, databases were modified, copy was fit to new layouts, new apps were tested and deployed, and a whole new user experience was brought to life the following Monday. MetroPCS representatives reviewed the site, USFI made minor necessary adjustments and the site went live Monday evening.
The new site not only works better, it also draws more visits and encourages more sales, due to its enhanced user experience. Increasingly, the client looks to base their future sales operations on what has come to be known as the One-Week Website.
